My husband’s small home office has a west facing window. Every afternoon he would close the wood blinds and turn on the ceiling fan, but it was still at least 15 degrees hotter in his office than anywhere else in the house.I purchased two of the dark brown panels and hung them up after giving them a wash on the permanent press cycle (in cold water) and tumbling dry on low to remove the wrinkles. No ironing was needed. They washed up well and I did not see any fading.I really like the curtains and they reduce the heat better than I expected. I don’t notice a temperature difference in the office now. As for blocking light, I’d say they block 70% of the light coming in, which is ok for us. I wasn’t buying them for the purpose of blocking out light.The curtains are inexpensive and it shows. They feel like leisure slacks from the 1970’s. This doesn’t concern me, as they work so well at keeping out the heat. However, if you want something that looks expensive, this is definitely not for you.These came quickly and are great quality. Curtain came with a small spot, maybe from shipping and i washed and dried and it looks great. Definitely a grey-white that’s perfect with my decor. I also got the roll down curtain that matches and used a yard stick in the hem to keep it straight rather than droopy on the bottom. The blackout capabilities are decent, like, they’re white and still block a lot of light without that complete cave look. I’d recommend these because for my bedroom, they’re perfect.If you buy the dark gray, as I did, be prepared for them to be almost black. They are nicely made curtains, but they are stiff and look more like they were made for a motel room. The package says they're for a child's room, but no way would I consider using them in a child's room. Way too formal looking for that.I bought these for my daughters nursery, but unfortunately they just didn’t block out enough light from our west-facing windows. The color was beautiful (greyish white), they were very well made and the fabric was so soft! I wanted it to work out so bad! I think if you had a windows without so much direct sunlight they would work very well. If however your goal is to have light colored curtains and block the light of multiple big, bright windows on a budget, I would recommend getting regular curtains and backing them with a blackout liner. Doing this, I was able to have the white curtains I wanted and block a LOT more light!The curtain came in as expected. Perfect size for our window. It goes in front of our blinds. This curtain isnt black out like advertised. It does block a lot of light though and acts as an insulator. It was an excellently priced. Overall we are happy with the product. Helps our baby take better napsI need my room pitch black to get sleep due to chronic insomnia...I had room darkening shades but have a rubber type backing and when it's gets really hot where I live (upper 90's with high humidity) I can almost smell the rubber heating up...this curtain was soft and "shiny" almost...didn't have high hopes but to my surprise...ROOM WAS PITCH DARK. GREAT PRODUCT!Love these curtains! I bought the greyish-white and they're exactly as purchased. They are great black-out curtains. This color is so versatile, really brightened up my house. I have these in my living and dining rooms. The material is very nice. Needs ironing before hanging. They're packed well. I bought 4 panels for my living room and 2 for the dining. You can see a difference in fullness. I'll continue to buy these curtains!Nice curtains. The material is a little thinner than what I thought and the color is a little lighter than the picture shown. It does darken the room. I was disappointed because the curtains do not touch the ground, I guess I measured wrong.The dark grey panels do not look as picture, they look more like the light grey (and no it's not due to varying monitor settings). It is just not as deep in colour as anticipated. I don't know if they just sent me the wrong ones and didn't think I'd notice. Anyway they are workable for now as I had thrown out my old curtains in anticipation of these ones. The product itself is fine it does block out light well, my only quarrels are with the colour.Not as effective at blocking light as I expected. Wrinkles seem to take a long time to come out. Hoping they will as they hang, Steam helped some. Will possibly need to order some more panels to get the fullness I am looking for.Good quality material and thickness for a curtain. Used also a sound barrier and does make a small difference.
